From the Route 44 Rotary
From Boston: take 24 to 495 and head towards Cape Cod. Get off at Exit 6, Route 44, Middleboro. Turn right and go back over 495, go a tenth of the mile to the rotary.
The follow directions below "From the rotary" below.
To get this far we assume your looked at one of the online maps from
If you are coming from the area of downtown Middleboro you will go through town and stay on 105
until the five-corner intersection at Plymouth St., Wood St. and 105. Go straight on Plymouth Street for
1 1/2 miles to Rocky Meadow St. which comes in on your right, turn right and follow directions below
for those coming in on route 44 from the rotary.
From the route 44 rotary (which is about 1/10 of a mile east of Exit 6 of Rt. 24) stay on route 44 east towards Carver and Plymouth. Get off at the
4th traffic light turning right onto route 105. Go up the hill 1/10 mile past the big white Congregational Church on the
right and the Cemetery at the Green on the left. Make your first left at Wood St. at
the five corner intersection described about. Go fifty feet to the stop sign which is Plymouth St. and turn left.
Go 1 1/2 miles to Rocky Meadow St. which comes in on your right.
You will be headed parallel in the same direction as the way you were going on route 44.
How to get the last half mile to
273 Tispaquin St.
( On the southwest corner of Tispaquin St. at Rocky Meadow St.
where Tispaquin is a dirt road. )
Turn right at Rocky Meadow and go about a half mile.
You will see this sign:
The go over the rise.
Turn right on the dirt section of Tispaquin here:
and then turn left into the driveway marked by a sign that reads
Hal Brown, LICSW
273
Drive down and park in the back. The office faces the cranberry bog.
If you are coming from Plymouth the quickest way is to stay on route 44
until it runs into route 58 in Carver at the Cumberland Farms.
Then go straight through. Stay on that road which becomes
Plymouth Street (make sure you don't end up on Wall St. where the road
curves).
You'll drive past where Carmel St. enters on the left from a bridge under route 44 (a short-cut from Pembroke and points west) and then look for a little sub-division road on the left called Sully's Way and another called Barends on the right. On the left, a few feet past those streets, with a sign angled so it is difficult to read is Tispaquin St. Turn left.
Be aware that in Middleboro street signs "disappear" on a regular basis, which is why the sign on our driveway is 3/8 inch steel on a steel pole set in 300 pounds of concrete.
Go to the next intersection (about 1/4 mile) to Rocky Meadow. You need to cross
Rocky Meadow onto the dirt section of Tispaquin, but despite brand new signs (see above)
cars speed around the curve from your right. So please be careful. We have
had numerous accidents on this corner.
This is what it looks like:

Note: This is a very dangerous corner.
Watch for cars on your right.
